Riding Lessons

All new riders at KR Quarter Horses will learn at their own pace.  Our goal is to help all riders learn in a comfortable and confident environment.

Leadline:
These lessons give our youngest riders a safe start. They will learn how to groom, lead, and safely mount their horse or pony. They will also learn through observation how to properly tack their horse or pony. Finally, while being lead safely they will learn how to balance, guide and safely stop their horse or pony.

Beginners:
Beginners will start with grooming, leading, and learning how to properly handle their mounts on the ground. Also, they will learn how to and be responsible for properly tacking up and mounting their horse or pony. While riding, focus will be on a balanced seat, learning leg aides, and how to ride with others (riding etiquette). Riders will progress at their own pace.

Intermediate - Advanced:
An intermediate or advanced first lesson will be an evaluation to determine your needs and how best to continue and possibly specialize your education.

NOTE:
 Sorry, we do not rent horses. However, we do lease horses on our farm to our students that are in a lesson program or 4-H.
